Lunch Bag

Subway's kid meal comes in a reuseable lunch bag that is super cute! The sign said they were National Geographic bags, but the workers seemed a little confused and they only had "one's with planes". This one reminded me of the hours long trips to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum with my Pop so I went for the kids meal anyway.

Bat Sh*t Crazy

I really, really hate to jump on the band wagon and post anything about Charlie Sheen, but the dude is in a downward spiral and is going to crash and burn.  He is in need of some serious help if he does want to kill himself before the year is out. All the people who say he is a wonderful person and blah, blah, blah doesn't mean he is not is self destruct mode. Funny or Die usually has some good videos.  This Charlie Sheen is really not a good example of one of their better ones.  It probably would have been funny if he didn't look like he was on death's door step.

SurvivalStraps For Soldiers Care Package

I was reading How to Make a Bug Out Bag: Your 72-Hour Emergency Evacuation Survival Kit on the The Art of Manliness because I am kinda secretly think there is someday going to be an apocalypse which will be a Terminator/The Road/Red Dawn event. I also and going to begin researching the best location for escaping said event and acquiring some property there. Plus I liked the back pack the guy was using for his B.O.B. and I am looking for something for my trip to Alaska.  That led me to Willow Haven Outdoor and the full article by Creek Stewart.  WHO I just had to spend some time looking around at after I saw a preview of his Bug Out Vehicle which is a '72 Ford Bronoc.  Hell Yeah!  I freaking love old Broncos and am constantly dreaming that I can one day purchase one for me! I then found the Paracord Survival Bracelets which they are selling on their site.

I totally think I need one of these and am again going to use the excuse of the trip to Alaska.  The chance that I would need it would totally be slim to none, but they are still cool.  Since I was to lazy to go find how much they were on the WHO site I just googled them and found the Survival Straps who make the bracelets.  While looking at the different ones I came across the Survival Straps for Soldiers Care Package you can order to be sent to a soldier of you choice or a random one if you don't have someone in mind.  So my plan now is to send one to a soldier before I order something I totally don't need for myself for a trip where no survival skills are really needed!  Really I am going to order one.

PS This randomness is how my life and minds goes everyday. Scary

Not Saying Grace

"I once choked a chupacabra to death for not saying grace."

Howlin' for You looks completely cheesy, but I will probably watch it anyway if for no other reason than the above quote.  I had to check and make sure it was not a Quentin Tarantino movie half way through the trailer because it really looked like something he would do.

You Are a Monkey

Neatorama had a post about Big Legal Brain's review of the Swingline 747 Business Stapler. The only reason I read it was because it reminded me Office Space. Unfortunately in my five second scan of the article there was no mention of Office Space. I am thinking of ordering the stapler though because it is red.

Big Legal Brain has a post Stop Being a Monkey which was funny.  The following disclaimer is from there.

Disclaimer: If you are not the intended recipient of this message, then we will kill you. If you inform us that you did not read this, we will still kill you. We will kill you even if you destroy this. Bottom line: you’re dead. Today is not your day.

Mormon Housewife Blogs

Apparently there is a weird attraction to Mormon Housewife Blogs.  I didn't even know there was a lot of blogs out there written by Mormon housewifes, but I shouldn't be surprised.  You can find anything on the internet!  There is article on Salon by Emily Matchar Why I can't stop reading Mormon housewife blogs that was interesting.  I went and read some of the blogs mentioned in the article and they all kinda sounded the same and were annoying so I am pretty sure I can stop reading the blogs.  The article on Salon was more interesting than the blogs themselves.

Side Notes:

Five days after having my wisdom teeth out I have decided to follow the doctors diet so my gaping holes may have a chance to heal.  It is not working so well.  The cream of potato soup for lunch was especially yummy after I added green onions, bacon bits, and cheese.  Everything is better with cheese though.

I think I have a problem with hand washing.  While heating soup mentioned above and adding the prepackaged extras I think I washed my hands like 6 times.  Wtf?

Humpy

"It's like Middle Earth, except the hobbits are humpy with fake tans."

This is the best line I have ever seen describing a tv show, especially Jersey Shore! I am not exactly sure what humpy is, but I am sure I could guess.

What's in a name?

National Geographic has an interactive map of the most common surnames.  Apparently Smith is pretty common!

Home

I think I actually felt my ovaries contracting watching this video!  They are so freaking cute and it doesn't hurt that I was obsessed with this song at the end of last year. I am now going to go listen to the whole song.

Saw the video first on The Frisky

Parenting Taboos

Interesting and funny!

The Apocalypse is coming to Arkansas!

Last week there was a massive fish kill in the Arkansas River where an estimated 100,000 drum fish were found in a 20 mile stretch of the river and 5,000 birds fell out of the sky on New Year's Eve! Both of these events happened northwest of Little Rock, AR.  Maybe that crappy movie with Hilary Swank in Louisiana about the plagues should really have taken place in Arkansas.  The movie was so crappy I can't remember the name.

I used to think Will Ferrel was funny...

until I watched the video.  I know I was in the minority, but I still enjoyed him some times.  I freakin' love Elf!  One of my favorite Christmas movies (this reminds me I haven't watched it yet or Christmas Vacation)!  Old School is another classic.  That all went away after this.

Fast Five

I love Vin Diesel!!!  The trailer for the new Fast and the Furious is out and it looks like everyone from the last 4 movies is in it!  Well except Letty who is dead.  But who cares it has everyone well else.  These movies make me act like a teenage girl!  I am giddy.

A Million Reasons to Believe

Tis the Season for Giving

For every letter sent to Santa at a Macy's mailbox a $1 will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Santa's special mailboxes are located in Macy Stores nationwide.  You can even write and decorate your letter at the Macy's website and then print them off to mail in the store!  I know this is a way to bring people to the stores, but it is still a good cause.  They will donate up to a $1 million.
